What is MESA Training Academy?
Academies are conducted by industry professionals during the academic year to train MESA students in the skill sets that are currently in demand by industry. Past and future specific skills training could include, but is not limited to, Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology, Microstation, Lead Engineering and Six Sigma.
Why should I attend?
Industry partners such as Hamilton Sundstrand, CALTRANS and NAVAIR have hosted trainings to better qualify students for internships and employment opportunities; making you the student more competitive in internship and entry-level recruiting.
What does it cost?
There is no charge for this academy. This is a professional development event provided through the San Diego MESA Alliance STEP Program.
Note:
Limited space available. Please check your schedules and rsvp as soon as possible. MESA students from San Diego City College, San Diego State University and Southwestern College are invited to attend.
Students Must:
RSVP by March 18, 2009 [AT THE MESA CENTER, CONTACT KATHY GASSAWAY]
Students must attend entire session from 9 am to 4:00 pm
***Please keep in mind additional time will be spent commuting to and from CALTRANS***
